Leandro and Berlin to perform in concert

Visiting assistant professor Eduardo Leandro and Eric Berlin will perform music written for them in concert on Sunday, April 24 at 8 p.m. in Bezanson Recital Hall. Leandro, percussion, and Berlin, trumpet, both recently joined the Department of Music and Dance. As part of the concert, they will perform two world premieres: Rave and Rapture for trumpet and bongos by Evan Hause, and a new, untitled work by James Stephenson. Three songs by Eric Ewazen will appear in a new arrangement for trumpet and marimba, and professor Salvatore MacchiaÕs work, The End of the Matter, will get its second performance.

Admission is $10 general public, $5 for students, senior citizens and children under 18. Tickets are available at the Fine Arts Center Box Office (545-2511) or at the door of Bezanson at 7:30 p.m. on the night of the concert.
