Coil (2000)

Commissioned by pianist Blair McMillen. Premiered by Blair McMillen and Nathan Davis at the Yellow Barn Festival in Putney, VT on July 21, 2000. Written in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Greenville, N.C.

Recording available on Equilibrium [EQ 69] CD "Musica per Due" by Sole Nero as of October, 2004.

A free composition for piano and one percussionist in one movement lasting approimately 12 minutes. The large percussion set-up features 14 miscellaneous almglocken, 9 tuned pipes, vibraphone, tom-toms and other percussion. ( percussionists: see key)
